Not a whole lot to report on since last time, I'm still awaiting my stick art, but that could take a while as it's got to make it's way over the Atlantic...
In game things are slowly improving, I just generally played a bit, intending to take Tariikz's advice and just play Dudley online and do nothing but block and throw roses when people get salty. But didn't like the idea of it online against people I don't know, but at the same time I did't want to bug Tariikz for blocking practice as I know I'll need a lot of it - I'd rather get some in, then go back to him and he can see if I've improved enough to go onto the next stage or not.
So this lead to just playing standard games with Juri, some win's, some losses, nothing to really write home about (well here..). But last night while just messing around on my PS3 I had an idea. So I set up an extra account on the PS3 called SF_Training, hopefully the name will let people know what I'm doing. ANd spent a load of games last night as Dudley, just blocking. The slight problem was the lack of people online in Europe when I was on, I had to quick game, which often threw me against people several thousand points above me... Who even though I was just trying to block, blew me to pieces. Admittedly one Evil Ryu player realised what I was doing and was quite helpful, in the way he attacked, and started throwing so I could practice my throw techs too!
Finished the session up with 2 Juri matches to see if there had been much improvement and won them both (I did search for same skill on those - both were around the 500PP/BP mark to my 0 points)
The Chun Li match was still quite sloppy, but I won both rounds, and possibly got a bit lucky when my dive kick went through the kikosho ultra she countered it with (is that a standard trade? - I'll have to find out) But I happily won both rounds.
The second game was against a Makoto player, tried to do less random dive kicks, possibly still used too many but generally they were safer, I'm not sure the player knew that they were my armour breaker, as they kept trying to focus attack whenever I jumped. First round (iirc) was fairly convincing win to me, second round I was doing really well, but then got distracted trying to set up my Ultra after getting annoyed at missing a perfect opportunity to do my super, and after wasting almost my entire super meter on trying to get the EX dive kick off Makoto jumped in on me, I went to punish with the Ultra, but her jump didn't go far enough and it wiffed, her punish won her the round. But the final round I re-composed myself and I won that quite convincingly too.
Next time I play, besides block practice, I intend to play a few Juri matches without
